WOAR’s mission is to empower individuals affected by sexual violence and educate the community on issues of sexual violence. WOAR provides free individual and group counseling to children and adults who have experienced sexual abuse/sexual assault, a 24-hour hotline, and hospital and court accompaniment. WOAR also provides education to children within Philadelphia public schools, social services organizations and the community at large on issues of trauma. The overall goals of the agency are to eliminate sexual violence through support, education, advocacy and empowerment.
