How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
One of our owners, Stanley Langer, has been involved in the Medical Apparel & Uniform business for the past 50 years. He has spent the past half century fine tuning his unique grasp & knowledge of the latest Lab Coat, Scrub and Career Wear trends & styles that have been developed over years of precisely selecting & designing Lab Coats and Scrubs for thousands of retail customers & wholesale manufacturers around the globe. He started out as a traveling salesman showcasing wholesale Medical Apparel to retailers on the East Coast for most of the 1970's which led to designing and supervising Lab Coat & Scrub product lines for most of the 1980's prior to purchasing Central Uniforms, Inc. in 1986. His wife and children joined him in expanding and growing our presence in and around the Philadelphia metro area as we all live, breathe and think Lab Coats & Scrubs 24/7.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Our specialty is Lab Coats and we set ourselves apart from other businesses and our competitors with The Central Uniforms 100% Cotton Exclusive Signature Private Label Lab Coat that has been specifically designed to offer our customers with a durable and dependable Lab Coat that offers 100% Cotton Twill, 5 French Knotted Buttons, Reinforced Stitching throughout along with a partially sewn down 2 piece back belt adjoined by yet another French Knot button. Central Uniforms is the only place to purchase our private label Lab Coat and has become a mainstay for thousands of medical professionals worldwide.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
2 locations with plans to expand. Our Headquarters is based in Jenkintown, PA located at 1653 The Fairway, Suite #220, Jenkintown, PA 19046 where we run our complete operations out of Jenkintown with customer service representatives along with storing our inventory in addition to hosting our in-house embroidery and shipping departments. Our other location is based in Maryland located at 8224 Inverness Hollow Terrace, Potomac, MD and serves as our hub for all sales operations in the DC, Maryland & Virginia metro area. As we continue to expand our presence on the East Coast and nationwide, we will continue to explore other locations to enhance our presence and customer service.

You can find us in the grouping of business suites on the 2nd Floor located in between The Panera and Chico's in THE FAIRWAY shopping center.

We service the whole country with a concentration in the Philadelphia Metro Area (Philly, Southern New Jersey and Delaware) along with the Washington, DC Metro area (DC, Maryland and VIrginia) as we have our Headquarters and Sales Representatives based in Jenkintown, PA along with another regional office based in Potomac, Maryland with Sales Representatives covering the Mid-Atlantic Region

We are a family run business owned by Debra Langer (President), her husband, Stanley Langer (Vice President) along with their children Hillary Langer (VP Sales & Marketing-Philadelphia Metro Area) and Jon Langer (VP Sales & Marketing-Washington, DC Metro Area).
